The Graduate Assistant IT role involves supporting the academic and technical functions within the Information Technology department.\n\n### Key Responsibilities\n- Assist lecturers in teaching, tutorials, and laboratory sessions in areas such as programming, Artificial Intelligence, data science, and software development.\n- Provide technical support and mentorship to students in programming languages such as Python and Java, as well as database systems like MySQL.\n- Prepare technical reports, documentation, and learning materials, and assist in organizing academic workshops, seminars, and innovation projects within the department.\n- Develop and maintain software applications, databases, and technical systems used for academic, research, or administrative purposes within the department.\n\n### Qualifications and Skills\n- Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field from a recognized university.\n- Must demonstrate strong knowledge in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning, and Data Science concepts.\n- Must have at least two (2) years of relevant working experience in software development, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related ICT field.\n- Must be a registered member of a recognized professional body in computing, ICT, data science, or related fields (such as Computer Society of Kenya, IEEE, or ACM).\n- Must have experience with additional programming languages such as C, C++, JavaScript, PHP, or R.\n\n### How to apply\nInterested and qualified candidates should apply online through the official Kabarak University careers portal at careers.kabarak.ac.ke.
