The Grade 1 Co-Teacher (Learning Support) will work collaboratively within the Primary Years team to ensure all learners can access, engage with, and excel in the curriculum. This maternity cover role supports Woodland Star’s inclusive education model through co-teaching, differentiated instruction, and targeted learner support, fostering inquiry, critical thinking, and conceptual understanding within a nurturing classroom environment.

Responsibilities
- Collaborate within the Primary Years team to ensure curriculum accessibility and engagement for all learners.
- Implement the school's inclusive education model through effective co-teaching and differentiated instruction.
- Provide targeted learner support to students with diverse needs.
- Foster an environment of inquiry, critical thinking, and conceptual understanding.
- Work closely with team members to co-plan, co-teach, and co-assess student progress.
- Maintain high educational standards aligned with the school's mission and values.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or Bachelor of Education with Special Needs certification.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in an inclusive or special education setting.
- Valid registration with the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) is mandatory.
- Strong understanding of inclusive education practices, curriculum differentiation, and mastery-based learning.
- Ability to work effectively within a collaborative team structure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
