Role Overview\nEquity Bank is seeking a senior leader with deep financial services experience, strong automation and data literacy, and a proven capability to deliver value within a regulated environment. The General Manager for Business Process Re-engineering and Automation focuses on Automations CoE capacity building and providing enabler support for enterprise-wide transformation.\n\n### Key Responsibilities\n\n#### Enterprise Transformation\n- Define and own the enterprise transformation roadmap across banking and insurance lines.\n- Support large-scale operating model change (process, technology, people) for shared service enablement in Automations.\n\n#### Innovation & Emerging Technology\n- Build and govern the innovation portfolio.\n- Evaluate emerging technologies such as AI, GenAI, and advanced analytics for business relevance.\n\n#### AI Strategy & Ethics\n- Define the AI strategy, principles, and guardrails.\n- Ensure explainability, fairness, and regulatory compliance.\n\n#### Business Value & Change Management\n- Translate ARRP strategy into measurable value outcomes.\n- Drive executive alignment and enterprise adoption of automated solutions.\n- Track and report value realization from transformation initiatives.\n\n#### Delivery & Execution\n- Oversee end-to-end delivery of automation and AI initiatives, from intake to production.\n- Prioritize delivery based on business impact and risk.\n- Govern the automation platforms and architecture, including RPA, workflow, data, and AI tooling.\n- Ensure strong risk management, audit readiness, and operational resilience.\n- Embed automations into business-as-usual operations with clear ownership and support models.\n\n### Qualifications and Experience\n- BA/BSc/HND degree in a relevant field.\n- 12–15+ years of progressive professional experience within banking, insurance, or other regulated financial services environments.\n- Proven track record leading enterprise-scale transformation, automation, or technology delivery programs with measurable business outcomes.\n- Hands-on experience delivering process re-engineering, workflow automation, RPA, data, and AI initiatives across multiple business functions.\n- Demonstrated ability to operate effectively within regulatory, risk, audit, and compliance frameworks, including engagement with internal and external auditors.\n- Proven experience managing cross-functional, multidisciplinary teams, including technology, operations, data, and business stakeholders.\n- Strong stakeholder management experience at Executive, Board, and Regulator-facing levels.\n- Exposure to large-scale platform implementations, vendor management, and complex delivery environments.\n- Experience embedding solutions into business-as-usual operations, including support, change management, and continuous improvement.\n\n### How to Apply\nInterested and qualified candidates should apply online through the Equity Bank career portal at equitybank.taleo.net.
