The Generator Sales Manager is responsible for driving the sale of diesel generator sets (Standby, Prime, and Continuous ratings) across Kenya. This key role involves market development, technical sales management, and ensuring robust customer and channel partner relationships.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Sell diesel generator sets (Standby, Prime & Continuous ratings) across Kenya.
- Develop new business opportunities in sectors such as hotels, hospitals, construction, manufacturing, telecom, and real estate.
- Manage key accounts and build long-term customer relationships.
- Prepare and follow up on technical-commercial proposals and tenders.
- Achieve assigned sales targets and revenue goals.
- Develop and manage dealer/channel partner networks.
- Coordinate with service and installation teams to ensure customer satisfaction.
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a related field.
- Requires 5+ years’ experience in generator sales or power solutions in Kenya.
- Strong technical knowledge of diesel generators, ATS (Automatic Transfer Switch), and synchronization systems.
- Proven track record in B2B (Business-to-Business) sales and project-based selling.
- Valid driving license and willingness to travel within Kenya.
- Strong negotiation and closing abilities.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Results-driven with strong market knowledge.
