Role Overview
The General Warehouse Clerk is primarily responsible for supporting the Warehouse Clerk by performing various material handling tasks during offloading, receipt, storage, assembly, and loading activities specifically for the Space X project. This role ensures that products are handled efficiently and safely within the warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
Stock Inspection: Perform inspections on all goods received to ensure they are in excellent condition and that quantities match supplier delivery notes.
Material Handling: Manage the safe movement and handling of goods during receipt, storage, and dispatch cycles.
Warehouse Maintenance: Execute proper housekeeping and organized stock placement in storage zones during put-away tasks to maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness.
Order Fulfillment: Assemble goods based on transfer requests for shipment and collaborate with the Warehouse Clerk to ensure accurate tallying.
Quality Control: Monitor and maintain the standard quality of all products stored within designated warehouse zones.
Safety Compliance: Maintain full responsibility for safety at all assigned workstations, ensuring a zero Lost Time Accident (LTA) environment.
Miscellaneous Tasks: Undertake additional duties as required by business needs that may fall outside the primary scope of the role.
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills
Educational Background: Diploma or Certificate in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or Logistics.
Professional Experience: Minimum of 2 years of work experience specifically in product handling.
Technical Proficiency: Competent in using Computer Applications, particularly MS Office.
Language Skills: Proficient in both written and verbal English.
Personal Attributes: Ability to work effectively under pressure and willingness to work flexible or extended hours as needed.
