The Forensic Investigation Officer will conduct objective, fair, thorough, unbiased and timely investigations into allegations of fraud, waste or abuse committed against the company through collection, preservation, analysis, and presentation of evidence in support of various investigations and possible prosecution of fraud-related malpractices.
Key Responsibilities
Forensic Investigations: Conduct thorough forensic investigations by retrieving, analyzing, and securing evidence from various digital and physical sources.
Evidence Management: Maintain a strict chain of custody and ensure the absolute integrity of all collected evidence.
Reporting: Document all investigation findings and prepare comprehensive reports for both internal use and formal prosecution.
Fraud Risk Assessment: Conduct fraud risk assessments to provide reasonable assurance on the integrity of company systems.
Legal Support: Prepare investigation findings reports for internal use and support law enforcement agencies in prosecutions when necessary.
Compliance & Training: Perform preventive compliance activities, including organizing and delivering fraud awareness trainings.
Operational Support: Carry out other duties assigned to support the operational functions of the Investigation Unit.
Court Witness: Attend court sessions as a witness to present and support evidence gathered during investigations.
Requirements
Education: Undergraduate Degree from a recognized University, preferably in Forensics & Investigations, Criminal Justice, Law, Statistics, Finance/Economics, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a relevant field.
Technical Certifications: Certification in digital forensics (e.g., Certified Cyber Forensics Professional, GIAC Certified Forensic Analyst) is required.
Professional Certifications: CFE, CISA, CISM, or other relevant certifications are considered an added advantage.
Experience: At least 2 years’ experience in fraud or forensic investigations.

Analytical Skills: Excellent digital forensics analytical and report writing skills.

Soft Skills: High degree of emotional intelligence, cultural sensitivity, and excellent interpersonal skills to interact with various stakeholders.
