Job Description
Amentum is seeking a Food Service Worker to serve as a cafeteria and/or delicatessen/bakery worker. The successful candidate will assist in the preparation, presentation, and serving of specialty meats, delicacies, preserved foods, cheeses, salads, breads, and sweets to patrons. This role involves maintaining a clean work environment and providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced kitchen atmosphere.
Responsibilities
Assist in weighing, pricing, and wrapping selected foods on plates, trays, and in bags.
Prepare food displays in counter cases and other display units.
Greet customers, take special orders, and answer basic customer questions about specialty foods.
Prepare hot and/or cold sandwiches, fruit and vegetable trays, salads, and rotisserie chicken following routine, repetitive steps.
Slice and/or mix simple ingredients as needed.
Clean counters and trays, wash dishes, and maintain cleanliness of preparation, work, and display areas.
Inspect and clean kitchen equipment.
Measure and mix ingredients as directed.
Assist in preparing, cooking, and decorating breads, rolls, pastries, cakes, and other bakery items.
Receive and unload trucks and store stock appropriately.
Process payments and make change for customers.
Qualifications and Experience
1+ years' experience as a food service worker in the food service industry.
BA/BSc/HND qualification as specified in the recruitment standards.
Ability to read and follow standardized recipes.
Strong knowledge of proper food handling procedures.
ServeSafe Certification is highly preferred.
