Orient Construction and Interiors is a premier design and construction firm specializing in crafting exquisite, high-quality spaces. We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Finance & Administration Assistant to join our dynamic team in Nairobi. This role provides essential support to the finance and administration departments, ensuring accurate record-keeping, timely payroll processing, and smooth financial operations within a fast-paced construction environment.
Key Responsibilities
Finance & Accounts Support
Assist in preparing and posting financial transactions, vouchers, and journals.
Support accounts payable and receivable functions to ensure timely billing and payments.
Assist with the preparation of payment schedules and tracking of company expenses.
Maintain organized and accurate financial records and filing systems.
Assist with monthly bank reconciliations.
Provide support in the preparation of monthly financial reports.
Payroll Administration
Assist in processing monthly payroll for both permanent staff and site-based workers.
Prepare payroll schedules and calculate overtime.
Manage statutory deductions including PAYE, NSSF, SHIF, and Housing Levy.
Ensure all statutory remittances are processed accurately and submitted on time.

Qualifications & Experience
Education: Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience: 1–3 years of professional experience in finance, payroll, or administration.
Industry Knowledge: Previous experience in the construction industry is considered a significant advantage.
Skills & Competencies
Strong numerical and analytical capabilities.
High level of accuracy and meticulous attention to detail.
Proficiency in MS Excel and various accounting software.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
