Field Program Officer (4 Positions)

Cup of Uji is a non-profit school feeding initiative created in 2011 by Francis Otieno Amonde. The organization was founded in response to the needs observed among public primary school children in Oyugis, Homabay County, who went to school without having eaten at home.

This role involves active field work supporting the implementation and management of the school feeding program, utilizing the Wallet as a Service (WAAS) platform, and serving as the primary liaison with parents, learners, and school staff.

Key Responsibilities

The Field Program Officer will undertake the following duties:

• Onboarding parents and learners onto the Wallet as a Service (WAAS) platform.
• Supporting parents and learners on payment and system-related issues.
• Daily scanning of learner tags/wristbands during lunch service.
• Assisting in stock monitoring.
• Supporting monitoring visits, partner engagements and official school visits as required.

Qualifications and Requirements

To be considered for this position, applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Qualification: BA/BSc/HND.
• Must be below 30 years of age.
• Must be residing in Kitengela or surrounding areas.
• Must own a personal laptop.
• Must have basic IT skills, including data entry and use of digital platforms.
• Must be available to start immediately.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with parents, learners and school staff.
• Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
