Job Description
The Field Officer – Career Coach will support the operational and technical implementation of all Result 2 activities and deliverables within the project framework. This role is central to managing trainee progress, ensuring the quality of vocational curricula implementation, and facilitating job insertion for beneficiaries in Eldoret.
Key Responsibilities
Activity Execution: Supports the proper execution of all Result 2 activities, ensuring targets are met efficiently.
Beneficiary Recruitment: Support the recruitment of over 400 women, including a 5% target for Persons with Disabilities (PWD), for new curricula trainings.
Curricula Implementation: Support the piloting and implementation of NITA new teaching curricula for domestic workers and corporate support services in target vocational institutions.
Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor progress on beneficiary training, job insertion, digitalization, and awareness activities. Prepare regular reports on training conduction.
Service Facilitation: Facilitate trainee access to project services, including digitalization courses, internship opportunities, and social start-up digital services.
MEAL Support: Assist in the development and utilization of Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) tools and frameworks.
Administrative Support: Assist the HQ Office with cross-cutting tasks such as conducting needs assessments for project proposals and participating in meetings with local government officials.
Required Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Development Studies, Education, Social Sciences, or related fields.
Experience with vocational training (TVET/NITA), labor market insertion, or skills development programs.
Minimum 2 years of experience in development cooperation projects funded by institutional donors (experience in AICS projects is a strong asset).
Proven expertise in Project Cycle Management (PCM).
Solid knowledge of MEAL elements including indicators, data collection systems, and means of verification.
Excellent command of Microsoft Office Suite.
Proficiency in English and Kiswahili.
Knowledge of disability inclusion and gender-responsive programming.
Skills in mentoring, counseling, and coaching activities.
