The East Africa Production and Scheduling Coordinator will plan and schedule production-related activities for both field and processing operations across three key sites in East Africa (Kenya, Ethiopia, and Tanzania). The role is responsible for ensuring end-to-end crop plan execution for the region. This includes crop planting plans, quality testing planning and scheduling, harvest planning and scheduling, delivery planning and scheduling, as well as processing planning and schedule management.
Detailed Expectations
Production & Scheduling Planning: Plan and schedule production-related activities across three sites in East Africa to create transparency in the execution of crop plans for the locations.
Crop Yield Forecasting: Liaison with country production leads to ensure accurate crop yield forecasting to achieve at least 95% crop plan adherence.
Harvest Coordination: Liaison with the Field Mission teams to develop crop delivery plans and ensure attainment of at least 95% harvest adherence.
Field Sampling: Coordinate on-time Field sampling for SNP testing to achieve defined Turn-Around-Time (TAT) and ensure results are on hand before harvesting commences.
Processing Plan Adherence: Liaison with the in-season planning mission team to coordinate the processing plan and ensure processing plan adherence of at least 95%.
Procurement Liaison: Collaborate with the East Africa procurement lead to ensure all production consumables in line with the crop forecast are on hand prior to the production campaign.
KPI & Performance Reporting: Coordinate KPI reporting for Tier 3 meetings, S&OP, and S&OE. Ensure weekly reporting of production status to all identified stakeholders every Monday.
Inventory Management: Work with the Production Warehouse team to ensure seed is moved to finished goods warehouses, and collaborate with Site Production Coordinators to ensure inventory visibility in SAP.
QMS & Compliance: Maintain planning and scheduling records as required by the QMS management systems. Ensure compliance with quality assurance standards and management systems set by ISO 9001:2015.
Problem Solving & Safety: Participate in 5WHY problem-solving to identify corrective and preventative actions. Actively participate in site safety program implementation, leading ESH efforts, and arranging resources to promote site safety in line with ISO 45001 standards. Adhere to all applicable legislation, Bayer safety policies, and procedures.

Requirements and Qualifications
A bachelor's degree in Business, Agriculture, Engineering, or a related field.
At least 10 years of experience in seed manufacturing operations and management or planning.
Proficiency in MS Office software (Excel, Outlook, Word, Project, etc.).
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Results-focused with the ability to work on own initiative.
Strong teamwork abilities (flexibility to work across areas and positively influence others).
Ability to establish clear direction and make decisions in a timely manner.
Fluency in English.
Training in ISO standards is highly desirable.
