Job Description
The Digital Health Agency (DHA) is a government body dedicated to transforming healthcare delivery through the integration of cutting-edge digital technologies. Our mission is to enhance healthcare accessibility, improve patient outcomes, and ensure data security by developing and maintaining a comprehensive digital health ecosystem across Kenya. This is the entry and training grade for this cadre, where an officer will work under the guidance and supervision of a senior officer.
Key Responsibilities
Driving the vehicle as authorized by the agency.
Ensuring the security and safety of the vehicle, passengers, and goods on and off the road.
Maintaining daily work tickets and logs accurately.
Carrying out routine checks on the vehicle’s cooling, oil, electrical, and brake systems, as well as tire pressure.
Detecting and reporting vehicle defects in a timely manner.
Ensuring the vehicle remains clean and well-maintained.
Coordinating routine service and maintenance of the vehicle.
Timely reporting of accidents and proactive follow-up of police abstracts.
Conducting vehicle inspections and ensuring all insurance documents are up-to-date.
Job Requirements
To be considered for this position, applicants must meet the following criteria:
A cumulative period of at least three (3) years’ relevant work experience as a Driver III.
Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) mean grade D (plain) or its equivalent qualification from a recognized Institution.
A valid driving license free from any current endorsement(s) for the classes of vehicles required to drive.
Completion of a First-Aid Certificate Course lasting at least one (1) week at St. John Ambulance, KIHBT, or another recognized Institution.
A Certificate in Suitability Test for Drivers conducted by the Ministry responsible for transport.
A Certificate in Occupational Trade Test III for Drivers conducted by the Ministry responsible for transport.
A Defensive Driving certificate from the Automobile Association (AA) of Kenya or an equivalent recognized qualification.
A valid recommendation report of a Refresher Course for drivers (at least 1 week long) attended every three years at KIHBT or a recognized institution.
A valid Clearance Certificate from the National Police Service.
Proficiency in computer applications.
Demonstrated merit and ability in work performance and results.
Required Compliance Certificates
Successful candidates will be required to provide the following documents:
Certificate of Good Conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI).
Certificate of compliance from the Higher Education Loans Board (HELB).
Tax Compliance Certificate from the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA).
Current Self Declaration form from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC).
Certificate from the Credit Reference Bureau (CRB).
