Job Description
The Digital Health Agency (DHA) is a government body dedicated to transforming healthcare delivery through the integration of cutting-edge digital technologies. This role is the entry and training grade for the driving cadre, where the officer will work under the guidance and supervision of a senior officer to ensure safe and efficient transport of personnel and goods.
Key Responsibilities
Driving the vehicle as authorized by the agency.
Ensuring the security and safety of the vehicle, passengers, and goods while on and off the road.
Maintaining an accurate and up-to-date daily work ticket.
Carrying out routine checks on the vehicle's cooling, oil, electrical, and brake systems, as well as tyre pressure.
Detecting and reporting vehicle defects in a timely manner to prevent further damage.
Maintaining the cleanliness of the vehicle at all times.
Ensuring routine service and maintenance of the vehicle are performed on schedule.
Reporting accidents promptly and following up on police abstracts.
Facilitating vehicle inspections and keeping up-to-date insurance documents.
Requirements for Appointment
A cumulative period of at least three (3) years’ relevant work experience as a Driver III.
Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) mean grade D (plain) or its equivalent qualification from a recognized Institution.
A valid driving license free from any current endorsement(s) for class(es) of vehicle(s) an officer is required to drive.
Attended a First-Aid Certificate Course lasting not less than one (1) week at St. John Ambulance or Kenya Institute of Highway and Building Technology (KIHBT) or any other recognized Institution.
Certificate in Suitability Test for Drivers conducted by the Ministry responsible for transport.
Certificate in Occupational Trade Test III for Drivers conducted by the Ministry responsible for transport.
Defensive Driving certificate from the Automobile Association (AA) of Kenya or its equivalent qualification from a recognized Institution.
Valid recommendation report of Refresher Course for drivers lasting not less than one (1) week after every three (3) years at the Kenya Institute of Highways and building Technology (KIHBT) or any other recognized Institution.
A valid Clearance Certificate from the National Police Service.
Proficiency in computer applications.
Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.
Required Compliance Certificates
Successful candidates will be expected to provide the following:
Certificate of Good Conduct from Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI).
Certificate of compliance from Higher Education Loans Board (HELB).
Tax Compliance Certificate from Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA).
Current Self Declaration form from Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC).
