The Director of Transaction Banking Sales at Standard Chartered Bank Kenya is a senior leadership position responsible for driving revenue growth within the Corporate and Institutional Banking (CIB) Cash and Trade business. This role involves utilizing market insights to identify growth opportunities and competitive threats, developing long-term strategic client plans, and ensuring seamless execution of client solutions. The incumbent will work closely with various internal teams including Product, Operations, Finance, and Risk to deliver a superior client experience while maintaining full compliance with Group policies and regulatory standards.\n\n### Key Responsibilities\n- Leverage market data to identify growth opportunities, emerging risks, and competitive threats to protect and grow Transaction Banking revenues.\n- Develop long-term strategic and tactical client plans, including stakeholder mapping, aligned with coverage partners and integrated into account plans.\n- Define the digitization agenda for the assigned portfolio to drive client loyalty and wallet share.\n- Identify and structure Cash and Trade business opportunities, deliver effective pitches, and manage deal execution through to revenue realization.\n- Partner with Coverage, Product, Risk, and Compliance teams to ensure effective delivery and growth of CIB Cash and Trade business.\n- Understand client business models and industries to create tailored solutions; lead proposals and pitches to key influencers.\n- Conduct all activities in compliance with Group policies and local regulations; proactively identify and mitigate risks.\n- Drive OPAC balances, liabilities, and utilization of Trade Assets to meet scorecard targets; manage a healthy sales pipeline.\n\n### Requirements and Qualifications\n- Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Degree (preferably in a business-related discipline).\n- Professional certification in advanced trade, working capital, or cash management is required.\n- Must be a practitioner with advanced/expert knowledge in cash, trade, and working capital.\n- Proven experience in strategic sales planning, pipeline discipline, and business origination.\n- Strong client relationship management, ability to drive disruptive innovation, and deep knowledge of Cash and Trade products.\n- Proficiency in English.\n\n### How to Apply\nInterested candidates should apply through the Standard Chartered careers portal via the application link provided below.
