The Director of Partnerships is a pivotal senior leadership role accountable for building, stewarding, and scaling Blue Ventures’ global partner network. This role ensures that Blue Ventures (BV) can deliver impact at scale with and through partners as a core pillar of its strategy to 2030. The position is available on a Remote or Hybrid basis.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership: Lead the Partner Network function, managing the end-to-end partner journey including scoping, selection, and relationship-building.
Partnership Management: Conduct needs and capacity assessments and facilitate the creation of multi-year partnership agreements.
Stewardship and Support: Ensure a consistent, efficient, and values-led model for supporting partner organisations, combining funding, technical assistance, and organisational strengthening.
Catalysing Conservation: Support community-based fisheries management and locally managed marine areas through partner empowerment.
Network and Movement Building: Enable lateral learning, peer exchange, and maintain a global community of practice that centres coastal communities and amplifies partner voices.
Requirements and Qualifications
Education: A minimum of a Bachelor's degree (BA/BSc/HND) in a relevant field.
Experience: Substantial experience in senior leadership roles, particularly in managing complex global partnerships or network-based impact models.
Field Expertise: Strong background in project management, international development, or conservation sectors.
