The Deputy Director, Resource Mobilisation & Partnerships at the Tourism Fund is a senior management role responsible for driving the financial sustainability of the Fund. This involves coordinating the development, implementation, and review of the Resource Mobilisation Strategy, leading policy implementation, and establishing strategic linkages with domestic and international partners. The role is critical in securing funding for tourism and hospitality institutions and initiatives in Kenya.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate the development, implementation, and review of the Fund’s Resource Mobilisation Strategy.
Lead the implementation of policies and programmes for resource mobilisation.
Establish and coordinate strategic linkages to support tourism and hospitality institutions.
Assist in the development of high-quality funding proposals for tourism and hospitality initiatives.
Coordinate all resource mobilisation activities across the organization.
Liaise with donors, public, and private partners to support strategic projects and programmes.
Lead the identification of new partnerships and funding opportunities.
Coordinate engagement with county governments to develop tourism products and services.
Lead the monitoring and evaluation of projects funded through mobilized resources.
Spearhead the implementation of initiatives supporting tourism products and services.
Develop comprehensive fundraising programmes to support the Fund’s mandate.
Account for all gifts, donations, grants, and endowments received by the Fund.
Requirements and Qualifications
Minimum of twelve (12) years of relevant work experience, with at least four (4) years at Principal Officer level or equivalent.
Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Finance, Economics, Law, or a related field from a recognized institution.
Master’s degree in Business Management, Finance, Economics, Law, or a related field.
Certificate in a Management course lasting at least four (4) weeks.
Membership in a relevant professional body (where applicable).
Proficiency in computer applications.
