Data Analyst

The Role

The Data Analyst provides support to strengthen the organization’s data quality posture by ensuring that critical data elements, processes, and lineage comply with Data Governance standards. The role drives adoption of data quality tools, enhances data literacy across the business, implements remediation measures for data issues, and works with Business Data Stewards to operationalize the Data Quality Standard.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure that critical data elements, processes, and lineage comply with Data Governance standards.
• Drive the adoption and effective use of data quality tools across the business.
• Enhance data literacy and understanding of data quality principles across various departments.
• Implement remediation measures for identified data quality issues.
• Collaborate with Business Data Stewards to operationalize data quality standards.
• Support the organization’s overall data quality posture and governance framework.

Qualifications

• Education: A First Degree (BA/BSc/HND) in Information Technology, Statistics, Computer Science, Information Studies, Data Science, Computer Technology, Business Information Technology, or related fields.

Experience & Skills Required

• Years of Experience: 2–5 years of professional experience.
• Technical Expertise: Intermediate experience in data management with solid knowledge of Data Quality, Metadata Management, and Data Lifecycle Management.
• Domain Knowledge: Intermediate understanding of systems integration, data architecture, and related processes within a financial services environment.
