Peoplelink Consultants Ltd is seeking a Cost Accountant to join their team in Nairobi. The ideal candidate will be responsible for cost analysis, product costing, monitoring production costs, and assisting in financial decision-making processes in an FMCG manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
Prepare and maintain accurate product costing and cost analyses.
Monitor production costs and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Analyze material, labor, and overhead variances.
Support budgeting, forecasting, and inventory valuation processes.
Prepare periodic cost reports and provide management with financial insights.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
Work closely with production, procurement, and finance teams to enhance operational efficiency.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
CPA(K), ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification is an added advantage.
Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Cost Accountant in a busy FMCG manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles, inventory management, and manufacturing processes.
Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
