The Feminist MEL Consultant will be responsible for leading and coordinating all Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning activities under the IGNITE project across Africa and MENA. This role focuses on applying feminist methodologies to project assessment, leading the endline and case studies exercises, and producing comprehensive reports that synthesize complex data into clear insights. The consultant will facilitate technical working group meetings and support project closure by organizing lessons learned sessions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the endline and case studies exercises and produce a final report.
- Online participation in the May internal retreat.
- Support project closure and organize lessons learned meetings with working groups.
- Update and finalise the project dashboard and Indicator Tracking Table (ITT).
- Facilitate MEL Technical Working Group (MELTWG) meetings and provide minutes (MoM).
- Provide project coordination support and assist in the production of the final factsheet.
- Support drafting of the final project report and manage feedback mechanisms.
- Support proposal development and coordinate with the VPRU MEAL team within IRC.
Deliverables
- Lead endline analysis workshop with MELTWG.
- Final endline/case study report along with raw data and analysis.
- Final ITT and project dashboard.

Timeline
The consultancy is scheduled to commence on 1 April 2026 and run until 31 December 2026, aligning with the project's anticipated duration. A detailed timeline for milestones will be mutually agreed upon with stakeholders.
Qualifications and Expertise
- An advanced degree (MBA/MSc/MA) in International Development, Business Administration, Management, Education, Social Sciences, Gender Studies, or a related field focusing on MERL.
- Clear understanding of feminist and women’s rights CSOs and feminist movements.
- Experience working with feminist movements and grassroots organizations across Africa.
- Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing MEL and action research, collaborating with education organizations in diverse contexts.
- Strong knowledge of the CSO landscape in Africa and MENA.
- Ability to develop standardized processes and quality assurance tools.
- Experience leveraging data collection and analysis to develop communications products for strategic decision-making.
- Strong analytical, research, and relationship-building skills.
- Prior experience in organizing and facilitating online learning events and workshops.
- Proficiency in online meeting platforms and collaborative tools.
