Chief Operating Officer

Rio Fish is a social enterprise providing sustainable livelihoods and increasing food security through strengthening market systems around aquaculture in Lake Victoria. Through practicing aquaculture, Rio Fish is providing a consistent supply of nutrient-rich fish as well as stable livelihoods for fish farmers. Rio Fish also links women fish farmers with ecological markets.

As the Chief Operating Officer (COO), you will be responsible for leading the company's internal operations and scaling the business to meet its impact and growth objectives. This role requires a leader with a strong background in agribusiness, FMCG, or manufacturing, capable of managing complex, multi-site teams in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Operations, Business, Engineering, or a related field (An MBA is considered a significant advantage).
• 8-10 years of experience in operations leadership, preferably in agribusiness, FMCG, or manufacturing.
• Experience scaling operations and managing multi-site teams.
• Comfort and adaptability in working for fast-growing, impact-driven enterprises.
