Job Description
Role Purpose
To provide strategic leadership and overall management of the Kisumu County Revenue Board by ensuring effective mobilization, collection, and management of county revenue in line with applicable laws and policies, to enhance fiscal sustainability and support delivery of county services.
Responsibilities and Duties
Provide strategic leadership and overall management of the Kisumu County Revenue Board.
Ensure effective mobilization, collection, and management of county revenue.
Align revenue operations with applicable laws and policies.
Enhance fiscal sustainability of the county.
Support the delivery of county services through optimized revenue streams.
Serve as the Secretary to the Kisumu County Revenue Board.
Requirements for Appointment
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must:
Be a Kenyan Citizen.
Have served for a period of ten (10) years in Senior Management level or in a comparable position in the Public or Private Sector.
Have a Bachelor's degree in any of the following disciplines: Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Social Sciences, or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
Have a Master's degree in any of the following disciplines: Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Social Sciences, or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
Have completed a Leadership Course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution.
Have demonstrated exceptional professional and managerial competence evidenced by consistent achievement of outstanding revenue performance and results.
Note: Registration with the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK) or any other recognized accounting body and being in good standing will be an added advantage.
Additional Application Details
Those with foreign degrees should have them authenticated by the Commission for University Education (CUE).
During the interview, candidates will be required to submit academic certificates authenticated by the issuing institutions to the Board.
Chapter 6 (Constitution of Kenya) requirements will only be required from successful applicants.
