Role Overview\n\nThe Chief Executive Officer (CEO) is a strategic leadership position within the Mombasa County health sector. This role is responsible for the overarching administration of health systems and hospital facilities, ensuring the delivery of high-quality medical services to the public. The CEO provides professional leadership, manages organizational change, and ensures that the institution operates with a high level of competence and integrity.\n\n### Key Responsibilities and Duties\n\n* Provide strategic leadership and direction to the health management teams.\n* Oversee hospital administration and ensure efficient health system management.\n* Implement organizational changes and improvements to enhance service delivery.\n* Maintain high levels of professional competence and managerial capability across the organization.\n* Manage modern information management systems and computer applications for data-driven decision-making.\n* Ensure compliance with institutional policies and national legal frameworks, including the Constitution of Kenya.\n\n### Requirements and Qualifications\n\n* Bachelor’s degree in any of the following fields: medicine and surgery, nursing, public health, health information management systems, economics, business administration, business management, public administration or its equivalents from a recognized institution. A Master’s degree in a medical-related field will be an added advantage.\n* Have a distinguished career with at least ten (10) years of experience in a senior management position in either the public or private sector.\n* A registered member of a relevant professional body.\n* Demonstrate proven experience in hospital administration, health systems management, and the implementation of organizational change.
