Job Description
The Embu County Government is seeking a Chief Administrative Officer to oversee revenue supervision, specifically managing cashiers and billers. The role involves ensuring efficient administrative processes within the revenue department and maintaining high standards of financial accountability and public service delivery.
Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate the activities of revenue supervisors, cashiers, and billers.
Ensure efficient and accurate billing and collection of county revenue.
Implement and monitor administrative protocols within the revenue department.
Prepare detailed reports on revenue collection and administrative performance.
Coordinate with other county departments to ensure seamless service delivery.
Manage staff performance and identify training needs for the revenue team.
Requirements for Appointment
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
Served in a relevant and comparable position for a minimum period of three (3) years.
Option 1: A Bachelor's degree in any of the following disciplines: Arts, Public Administration, Business Administration/Management, Community Development, or any other Social Science, plus a certificate in a management course lasting not less than four (4) weeks or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
Option 2: A Diploma in any of the following disciplines: Public Administration, Business Administration/Management, Community Development, or any other Social Science, plus a supervisory Management course or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
A Certificate in Computer applications from a recognized institution.
