Job Description
Embu County Government is seeking to recruit a qualified individual for the position of Administrative Officer II. This role involves providing essential administrative and management support to ensure the effective delivery of public services within the county's designated departments or wards.
Responsibilities
Coordinate administrative activities and operations within the assigned department or ward.
Maintain accurate records and management information systems to support decision-making.
Assist in the implementation of county policies, guidelines, and administrative procedures.
Supervise junior staff and oversee clerical operations to ensure efficiency.
Prepare comprehensive administrative reports, briefs, and documentation as required.
Facilitate effective communication between the county government and various community stakeholders.
Ensure adherence to public service standards and contribute to community development goals.
Requirements for Appointment
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:
A Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines: Arts, Public Administration, Business Administration/Management, Community Development, or any other Social Science from a recognized institution.
A certificate in a management course lasting not less than four (4) weeks or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
OR
Served in a relevant and comparable position for a minimum period of three (3) years.
A Diploma in any of the following disciplines: Public Administration, Business Administration/Management, Community Development, or any other Social Science from a recognized institution.
A Supervisory Management course or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
General Requirement:
A certificate in computer applications from a recognized institution.
