This Branch Manager role is crucial for overseeing the complete day-to-day operations of a retail outlet. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficiency, maintaining compliance with established standards, and ultimately achieving approved financial objectives and sales performance targets.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the retail outlet (including customer service, human resource management, and sales activities) to ensure efficiency and compliance with standards.
- Be accountable for sales performance and the achievement of approved financial objectives.
- Procure goods and services based on stock levels, demand, and operational requirements.
- Recruit, onboard, and train new employees.
- Lead, motivate, assess, and develop staff to enhance performance and skills.
- Prepare staff schedules, allocate responsibilities, and coordinate daily shop activities.
- Monitor the quality of products and services provided to customers.
- Address customer complaints and resolve issues in line with applicable laws and internal procedures.
- Manage daily cash collections and ensure secure and accurate reconciliation.
- Carry out regular, periodic, and spot stock inventories.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field.
- 4+ years of branch/store management experience in the retail industry.
- Experience in the automotive industry will have an added advantage.
- Conversant and Knowledgeable in the use of ERP.
- Strong analytical, planning, and coordination skills.
- Good communication and stakeholder management ability.
