This Junior Accountant role is essential for managing the day-to-day financial operations of a bar and restaurant located in Watamu, Kilifi County. This position requires specialized experience in the hospitality and retail accounting sectors, focusing heavily on accurate inventory control (F&B stock), daily transactional accuracy (petty cash), and providing critical financial insights to management.
Responsibilities
Manage petty cash transactions and ensure accurate record-keeping.
Conduct food and beverage stock reconciliation to effectively track inventory levels.
Utilize Point of Sale (POS) system knowledge to process transactions and generate relevant reports.
Prepare comprehensive financial reports for management to analyze business performance and support decision-making.
Requirements & Qualifications
Must possess a BA/BSc/HND qualification (Higher National Diploma or Bachelor's Degree).
Previous experience in hospitality and retail accounting is mandatory.
Strong knowledge of petty cash management procedures and controls.
Demonstrated ability to reconcile food and beverage stock efficiently and accurately.
Familiarity and proficiency with POS systems and their functionalities.
Proficient in generating and interpreting various management reports.
