As an Assistant Wellsite Drilling Fluids Engineer at Baker Hughes, you will be responsible for providing essential onsite services. This involves measuring, testing, and supervising fluid mixing and pumping operations. Your role is critical in providing technical analysis and specific recommendations to ensure fluid properties are controlled effectively during drilling operations.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Onsite Services: Provide onsite services by measuring, testing, and supervising the running of fluid mixing and pumping, including technical analysis and specific recommendations for controlling fluid properties.
Sales Support: Assist in sales efforts by making calls at the field or field office level, or accompanying Sales Representatives on such calls.
Mentorship: Train and direct the work of entry-level engineers as required.
Compliance: Conduct all business activities in accordance with Baker Hughes HSE policies, legal requirements, compliance standards, and Baker Hughes Core Values.
Requirements and Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics (STEM).
Experience: At least 5 years of experience with in-depth knowledge of Drilling Fluids products and services.
Technical Skill: Ability to identify the proper product and service for simple to complex applications.
Environment: Demonstrated ability to work within a global matrix organization.
Communication: Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Analytical Skills: Exceptional organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Travel: Willingness and ability to travel (including potential travel to rig sites, customer facilities, meetings, and trainings).
