Job Description
Kibabii University is seeking to recruit an Assistant Supply Chain Management Officer. This is an entry-level position within the University's cadre. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of a Senior Officer and will be primarily responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the university stores, ensuring accurate record-keeping and effective supervision of warehouse personnel.
Duties and Responsibilities
Handling the issuing and receiving of items within the university stores.
Preparing and maintaining comprehensive and accurate stores records.
Supervising warehouse attendants to ensure efficient workflow.
Conducting regular stocktaking and reconciliation exercises to ensure inventory accuracy.
Serving as the official custodian of the University's stores.
Ensuring the proper preservation and safe storage of goods and supplies.
Maintaining up-to-date and reliable store records at all times.
Requirements for Appointment
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:
A Diploma in any of the following disciplines: Purchasing and Supplies Management, Supply Chain Management, or any other equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
OR Level 3 CIPS advanced certificate in Purchasing and Supplies or its equivalent.
Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) mean grade C- (Minus) or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
A certificate in computer applications from a recognized institution.
