Job Description
The County Government of Kitui is seeking to recruit qualified individuals for the position of Assistant Physiotherapist III. This role involves delivering physiotherapy services to both inpatients and outpatients within wards and health institutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for patient assessment, rehabilitation planning, and the administration of various therapeutic treatments including manual therapy and electrotherapy.
Responsibilities
Provide physiotherapy services to inpatients and outpatients at outpatient units, wards, or health institutions.
Assess patient needs, including specialized rehabilitation requirements.
Verify and maintain accurate information and medical records relating to patients.
Screen and assess patients to provide therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, electrotherapy, and hydrotherapy according to formulated treatment plans.
Collect data for operational research purposes.
Sensitize the community on physiotherapy and related health issues.
Prepare and submit periodic reports on activities and patient progress.
Requirements
Must be a Citizen of Kenya.
Diploma in Physiotherapy from a recognized institution.
Certificate of Registration from the relevant professional body.
Current Certificate of practice from the relevant professional body.
Certificate in any computer application skills.
