The role of Accounts Assistant is being recruited by Swinton Consulting Limited for their client, Lainisha Sacco, located in Mwea, Kirinyaga County. This full-time, onsite position requires a candidate to manage various accounting and administrative functions to ensure efficient financial operations within the Sacco.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Ensure accurate and timely record keeping.
- Check and reconcile postings in the general ledgers.
- Accurate maintenance of Members' Personal Accounts.
- Raise payment vouchers and invoices.
- Full accountability on petty cash management.
- Treasury custodian / alternate teller cash confirmation officer.
- Responsible for Sacco premises rent collection and reconciliation.
- Post loan disbursements.
- Effecting of fully authorized account transfers.
- Practice transparency, accountability and effective use of financial resources and assets.
- Assist in design and formulation of Sacco products and services.
- Assist in replenishment of cash from bank.
- Responsible for stationery stock movement.
- Member of staff procurement committee.
- Market and cross-sell the Sacco products and services.
- Any other duty as may be assigned from time to time.
Minimum Qualifications
- CPA Part 2 is Mandatory.
- Degree or diploma in a business-related field is an added advantage.
- Minimum 1 year experience in a related environment.
- Computer proficiency in computer applications, especially in accounting packages and systems.
- Knowledge of various Sacco software systems is an added advantage.
