Frank Management Consult Ltd, an international management consulting agency focused on raising the performance, driving strategies, and enhancing the productivity of major companies, is seeking a qualified Accountant. This role involves maintaining the financial integrity of the organization by accurately recording and analyzing financial transactions, ensuring regulatory compliance, and managing core accounting functions like accounts receivable, accounts payable, and fixed assets. This position is critical for supporting timely and accurate financial reporting and operational efficiency.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Ensure accurate recording and analysis of revenues and expenses, resolving discrepancies as needed.
- Maintain compliance with statutory, legal, and regulatory requirements, ensuring timely remittance of payments.
- Manage accounts receivable and payable, including invoicing, payment allocation, reconciliations, and reporting.
- Maintain and update the Fixed Assets register.
- Assist in preparing financial statements and support monthly and year-end closings.
- Ensure timely and accurate updating of financial data in accounting systems.
- Control and reconcile petty cash, monitor budgets, expenses, and payroll records.
- Conduct monthly stock takes, reconcile variances, and perform bank and till reconciliations.
Qualifications and Experience
The ideal candidate must possess the following qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
- Certification: Professional certification (CPA, ACCA, CA, or CIMA) is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years’ accounting experience, including at least 2 years in financial accounting and reporting.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong knowledge of IFRS, with practical experience in IFRS 16 considered an advantage.
- Compliance Expertise: Hands-on experience in tax compliance and statutory filings, including VAT, PAYE, WHT, WVAT, and related levies.
- Functional Expertise: Practical experience in managing debtors, payables, inventory, and fixed assets.
