Role Overview\n\nThe Youth Polytechnic Instructor III - Plumbing is a technical position within the Nakuru County Government's Department of Education. The primary purpose of this role is to provide both theoretical and practical vocational training to students in the field of plumbing, ensuring they acquire the necessary skills and certifications to enter the technical workforce.\n\n### Duties and Responsibilities\n\n* Deliver theoretical and practical instruction in plumbing and water technology.\n* Develop and maintain comprehensive schemes of work, lesson plans, and lesson notes.\n* Create and organize teaching and learning materials for effective classroom and workshop delivery.\n* Maintain accurate trainee records and track academic progress.\n* Perform regular trainee assessments and grading.\n* Oversee the workshop environment, ensuring all plumbing tools, machinery, and equipment are properly maintained and safely stored.\n* Lead and participate in co-curricular activities to support student development.\n* Ensure trainee discipline is maintained and provide guidance and counseling services to students.\n\n### Requirements and Qualifications\n\n* Must hold a Diploma in Water Technology Plumbing Level 6 TVET CDACC or its equivalent from a recognized institution.\n* Must have a Certificate in an instructors’ course from the Kenya School of TVET (formerly Kenya Technical Trainers College - KTTC).\n* Must possess a certificate in computer applications from a recognized institution.\n\n### How to Apply\n\nQualified candidates are required to submit their applications online via the Nakuru County Government recruitment portal.
