The successful candidate will provide comprehensive theoretical and practical training to students within the vocational training framework. The role involves curriculum delivery, student assessment, and maintaining a conducive learning environment.
Responsibilities
Provide theoretical and practical instruction in Fashion Design and related specializations.
Prepare and maintain essential professional documents, including schemes of work, lesson plans, lesson notes, and trainee records.
Develop and organize relevant teaching and learning materials for the department.
Carry out continuous and summative trainee assessments to monitor progress and competency.
Ensure the proper care, maintenance, and security of tools, equipment, and workshop facilities.
Organize and lead co-curricular activities to enhance trainee development.
Maintain trainee discipline and provide guidance and counseling services to students.
Requirements and Qualifications
Education: Diploma in Clothing, Fashion Design, Textile Technology, or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
Pedagogy: Certificate in an instructors’ course from the Kenya School of TVET (formerly KTTC).
Computer Literacy: Certificate in computer applications from a recognized institution.
