As the WASH Advisor, you will be responsible for the strategic design and successful execution of Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) initiatives. You will work closely with various departments including Research, Monitoring & Evaluation, and Social and Behavioral Change Communication to ensure program alignment and impact.
Key Responsibilities
Program Leadership: Conceptualize, design, and lead the implementation of WASH initiatives in collaboration with core departments (Research, M&E, SBCC, and Health Services).
Growth & Strategy: Identify and manage growth opportunities within the WASH program portfolio.
Stakeholder Management: Coordinate activities with internal and external stakeholders including donors, the Ministry of Health (MoH), Technical Working Groups (TWGs), and other partners.
Financial Management: Develop and manage program budgets, ensuring effective burn rates and financial accountability.
Planning & Monitoring: Lead the development of annual marketing and budgeted work plans; monitor performance against donor deliverables and provide strategic recommendations.
Reporting: Spearhead monthly and quarterly donor reporting, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.
Material Development: Supervise the production of Information Education and Communication (IEC) materials and Behavioral Change Communication facilitation tools.
Data Utilization: Liaise with the M&E team to ensure effective use of MIS tools and data for improved programming.
Implementation: Lead program execution alongside service delivery and outreach teams to align with organizational goals.

Improved key behavioral outcomes across target communities.
Increased stakeholder engagement in program development.
Timely preparation and submission of accurate donor and management reports.
Effective budget management and cost control.
Requirements and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Public Health, Community Development, Environmental Health, or a related field.
Professional certification in Project Management is highly desirable.
A minimum of eight (8) years of experience in community development and program management.
At least three (3) years of experience in a managerial or leadership role.
Proven track record of managing donor-funded programs and complex stakeholder relationships.
