The Warehouse Manager, based in Nairobi and reporting to the General Manager-SEZ, is required to plan and coordinate warehousing activities, ensuring the safe custody and handling of Clients' cargo within the Special Economic Zone (SEZ) warehouse.
Key Deliverables and Responsibilities
- Monitor and approve the receipt and release of Clients' goods.
- Submit periodic reports on stock movement to customers.
- Ensure ISO procedures are followed and targets met.
- Approve customers' invoices for services rendered.
- Prepare the departmental budget for gross margins and expenses and ensure the set budget is attained.
- Prepare periodic reports for management.
- Handle customer issues and ensure satisfaction and retention.
- Prepare bond returns to KRA (Kenya Revenue Authority).
- Prospect for business and prepare quotations to clients.
- Allocate storage space to ensure efficient use of available resources.
- Consolidate goods for export.
- Organize for dispatch and delivery of goods to the relevant destinations while ensuring relevant documentation accompanies the goods.
- Ensure the safe custody of goods in the Warehouse.
Profile and Qualifications
- Business Degree or qualification in Supply Chain Management (BA/BSc/HND).
- Experience in an SEZ (Special Economic Zone) environment is an added advantage.
- Minimum of three (3) years of relevant working experience.
