About the Role
The Video Editor is in charge of producing high-quality video content that assists brand communication, marketing campaigns, and internal initiatives. The role involves transforming raw footage into compelling visual stories that align with the organization’s brand identity, messaging, and strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities
Video Editing & Post-Production
Edit raw video footage into polished final outputs for campaigns, digital platforms, and internal communications.
Assemble sequences with proper pacing, transitions, and storytelling flow.
Ensure all video content meets brand and quality standards.
Motion Graphics & Visual Effects
Incorporate basic motion graphics, titles, lower thirds, and animations.
Apply color correction and grading to ensure visual consistency.
Enhance footage with appropriate visual effects where necessary.
Audio Editing & Sound Design
Edit and mix audio, including dialogue, music, and sound effects.
Ensure clarity, balance, and broadcast/platform-ready sound quality.
Content Adaptation & Optimization
Format and adapt videos for various platforms (e.g., social media, web, TV, internal presentations).
Deliver multiple versions of content (cutdowns, teasers, localized versions).
Ensure correct aspect ratios, resolutions, and file formats.
Teamwork & Stakeholder Engagement
Work closely with designers, copywriters, and marketing teams to interpret briefs.
Incorporate feedback from stakeholders and ensure alignment with campaign goals.
Participate in creative reviews and team discussions.
Project & File Management
Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
Maintain organized project files, archives, and version control.
Ensure efficient workflow and adherence to production timelines.
Requirements
Hold a bachelor’s degree in Film Production, Media Studies, Communications, or a related field, with equivalent practical experience also considered.
Possess 2–5 years of professional video editing experience in a corporate, agency, or media environment, with a strong portfolio of diverse projects.
Demonstrate proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro is required.
Possess working knowledge of motion graphics tools such as Adobe After Effects and familiarity with color grading tools is an added advantage.
Demonstrate comprehension of video formats, codecs, export settings, and visual storytelling techniques is essential.
Demonstrate attention to detail, creative problem-solving, adaptability, and the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines are required.
Show awareness of current video trends, social media formats, branding concepts, and flexibility to work extended hours when needed is expected.
