The Van Sales Representative is a critical role responsible for driving sales revenue and ensuring efficient distribution of bread products across an assigned route. The role requires meticulous management of stock, cash reconciliation, debt management, and strong customer relationship building within the bread manufacturing sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales Targets: Achieve defined daily sales revenue targets.
- Stock and Delivery: Receive stock and deliver bread to depots and customers as per the assigned route.
- Sales Reconciliation: Perform daily cash and stock reconciliation with sales clerks.
- Payment Collection: Collect signed invoices and cheques from customers, ensuring timely payment for delivered products.
- Returns Management: Adhere strictly to the zero returns policy and actively control product damages.
- Crates Management: Collect and accurately account for crates daily.
- Debt Management: Manage and reconcile payment processes effectively.
- Customer Relationship Management: Communicate price changes and new products, maintain strong relationships with customers, and resolve escalated issues promptly.
- Market Development: Increase brand visibility and sales growth by identifying and opening new accounts.
- Market Intelligence: Monitor competitor activities and collect relevant market data for strategic planning.
- Sales Cost Controls: Monitor vehicle usage, fuel consumption, and manage the overall sales budget.
- Quality Control: Implement quality assurance procedures and manage customer complaints professionally.

Qualifications and Experience
- Education: A Diploma in sales, marketing, or an equivalent qualification is required.
