Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be expected to perform the following duties:
Undertaking teaching, research, and community outreach activities.
Participating actively in the development and review of academic programmes.
Guiding and counselling students to ensure their academic and personal welfare.
Supervising students in research projects at the undergraduate level.
Administering examinations at the undergraduate level, ensuring fair student assessment.
Student assessment.
Attending and participating in research conferences and seminars to advance scholarly work.
Performing any other relevant duties assigned by the University College administration.
Person Specifications and Qualifications
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following minimum qualifications:
Education & Registration:
A Master’s degree in Population Health, Public Health, Public Reproductive Health, Epidemiology & Disease Control, Monitoring & Evaluation, Community Health, Occupational Health & Safety, or an equivalent qualification from an accredited and recognized university.
A Bachelor’s degree in Population Health from an accredited and recognized university.
Must be currently registered for a Ph.D. in the area of specialty.
Experience & Skills (Advantages noted):
Current registration by relevant professional statutory bodies and membership in a professional association will be an added advantage.
University teaching experience will be an added advantage.
Proficiency in computer applications is required.
