The role of Tutorial Fellow - Community Health is the entry grade for Masters Degree holders into this academic cadre. An officer at this level will work under the direct supervision of a senior officer, contributing to the academic life of the University College through teaching, research, and service activities.
Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following duties:
Undertaking teaching, research, and community outreach activities.
Participating in the development and review of academic programmes.
Guiding and counselling students.
Supervising students in research projects at the undergraduate level.
Administering examinations at the undergraduate level.
Student assessment.
Attending and participating in research conferences and seminars.
Performing any other relevant duties assigned by the University College.
Person Specifications (Minimum Requirements)
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:
A Master’s degree in Population Health/Public Health/Public Reproductive Health/ Epidemiology & Disease Control/Monitoring & Evaluation/ Community Health/Occupational Health & Safety or its equivalent from an accredited and recognized University.
A Bachelor’s degree in Population Health from an accredited and recognized University.
Must be Registered for Ph.D. in the area of specialty.
Proficiency in computer applications.
Added Advantages:
Current registration by relevant professional statutory bodies and membership in a professional association.
University teaching experience. (Note: Lack of evidence supporting claimed University teaching experience will lead to disqualification.)
