The Technician - Projects role supports senior technical staff in the execution and documentation of various design projects within the Kenya Ports Authority (KPA). The position requires hands-on assistance in data collection, site management, and ensuring safety standards are met.
Remuneration (Kshs.)
The monthly remuneration package includes:
Basic Salary: 76,156.00 - 108,767.00
House Allowance: 32,750.00
Motor Transport Allowance: 17,000.00
Job Specifications (Responsibilities and Duties)
As a Technician - Projects, the incumbent will be required to:
Assist the Senior Technician in collecting data essential for design projects.
Assist the Senior Technician in preparing daily site records and comprehensive weekly project status reports.
Assist the Senior Technician in ensuring the safe use of all site construction equipment and verifying the availability of necessary accessories.
Person Specifications (Qualifications and Requirements)
Candidates must meet the following minimum requirements:
Hold a KCSE certificate or its equivalent.
Possess a Diploma in one of the following engineering fields or its recognized equivalent: Mechanical, Mechatronics, Civil, Permanent Ways, Building & Construction, Electrical, Electronics, or Marine Engineering.
Demonstrate proficiency in computer applications.
Fulfill the requirements outlined in Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya.
