This role is crucial for fostering a conducive learning environment integrated with Christian values and upholding the ethos of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.### Key Duties & Responsibilities:1. Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Mathematics and Chemistry lessons in line with CBE requirements.2. Assess, evaluate, and record learners’ academic progress.3. Provide remedial support and guidance to struggling learners.4. Maintain discipline and a conducive learning environment.5. Integrate Christian values in teaching and mentorship.6. Participate in co-curricular activities, school programs, and departmental meetings.7. Communicate effectively with parents/guardians on learners’ progress.8. Uphold the values and ethos of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.9. Perform any other duty as may be assigned.### Required Qualifications and ExperienceCandidates for this teaching position must meet the following criteria:General Qualifications:* Have a minimum of a Diploma in Education with a minimum of C+ (plus) at KCSE (or its equivalent) with at least a C+ (or Credit Pass) in two teaching subjects.* A bachelor’s degree in education will be an added advantage.* Have an active registration as a teacher with the Teachers Service Commission.* Commitment to student-centered learning and the CBE curriculum (Any training on CBE curriculum will be an added advantage).* Be an Adventist in regular standing (N/B: Get recommendation from your local church pastor).* Be a Kenyan citizen.* Bring with you the Certificate of Good Conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI).* At least 1 year’s teaching experience will be an added advantage.Specific Requirements for Diploma Teachers:* Must possess a Diploma in Education from a recognized Teacher Training Institution.* Diploma Teachers who graduated in 2008 or before with a mean grade of C (plain) and C (plain) in the two teaching subjects qualify for consideration.* P1 Certificate is an added advantage.### Key QualitiesThe ideal candidate must be:* Dedicated, responsible, and results oriented.* Possess strong classroom management and communication skills.* Passionate about inspiring learners to excel academically and spiritually.
