Christ Is the Answer Ministries (CITAM) is seeking a dedicated Sound Technician to provide comprehensive audio-visual support and technical management. The technician ensures high-quality sound and visual delivery for both online and in-person church services, missions, and various ministry functions. This role also encompasses content production, system maintenance, and the mentoring of volunteer teams.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
Audio-Visual Support: Deliver high-quality AV support for church services, online streaming, and mission-related events.
Content Creation: Produce media content for the local assembly and manage associated social media accounts.
System Maintenance: Keep AV equipment in good repair, maintain an inventory, and provide periodic reports on system status.
Archiving: Catalog and maintain a digital library of all assembly content.
Leadership & Mentoring: Manage targets and performance for media workers and volunteers through coaching and mentorship.
Technical Advocacy: Recommend necessary system upgrades to CITAM leadership based on evolving needs.
ICT Support: Provide first-level IT troubleshooting and support to assembly staff.
Record Management: Sustain institutional memory through effective record-keeping systems.
Requirements and Qualifications
Must be a born-again, mature Christian conforming to the CITAM statement of faith.
Education: Diploma in Sound Production, Electronics, Telecommunications (Electrical) Engineering, Journalism and Media Studies, Mass Communication, or an ICT-related field.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of professional experience managing sound systems in a church environment or production firm.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in operating various analogue and digital mixing consoles; knowledge of live streaming, projection systems, and electrical power ratings.
Multimedia Skills: Competency in graphics design, videography, photography, and social media management.
Personal Attributes: Innovative, diligent, honest, and capable of working effectively in a team.
Driving: A valid driving license with at least 3 years of experience; a PSV license is considered an advantage.
