As the Solution Advisor Manager for Emerging Africa, based in Nairobi, Kenya, you will lead a Solution Advisory Team dedicated to supporting the sales cycle across the region. You will be responsible for orchestrating customer value discovery, delivering solution demonstrations, and developing value propositions to ensure successful customer engagements, deal closures, and long-term success. This involves managing the adoption process and facilitating smooth handovers to Customer Success and Services teams.
Responsibilities
Manage, coach, and develop a team of Solution Advisors (SAs) to deliver high-quality solution presentations and proof-of-concepts.
Drive value across customer segments and position innovative solutions that demonstrate 'Why SAP'.
Oversee end-to-end presales processes, including resource allocation, strategic alignment, and lead-to-opportunity conversion.
Collaborate with Sales Managers, Account Executives, and Managing Directors to generate and convert the pipeline.
Guide the team in creating compelling solution narratives and competitive differentiation content.
Ensure solution readiness and enablement for both customers and partners, focusing on digital assets and tools.
Utilize AI to enhance engagement quality and improve the sales cycle performance.
Track and document all presales activities in SAP systems for visibility and performance analysis.
Facilitate smooth transitions to implementation teams and ensure actionable adoption plans are in place.
Requirements and Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree (BA/BSc/HND) is required.
Proven experience leading presales or solution consulting teams, preferably within the SAP ecosystem or enterprise software market.
Strong business acumen, communication, and presentation skills.
Experience managing complex sales cycles and driving customer value engagements.
Demonstrated ability to lead geographically dispersed and culturally diverse teams (Anglophone and Lusophone staff).
High cultural intelligence (CQ) and the ability to manage across multiple time zones.
Familiarity with SAP programs, products, and digital sales methodologies.
Experience with digital enablement and value management practices is highly desirable.
