Techwin Limited, an engineering technology company specializing in the manufacture of stainless-steel equipment and solar power systems, is seeking a qualified Solar Technician to join its Projects Department. The role involves overseeing the full lifecycle of solar installations across various sectors including dairy, beverage, hospitality, healthcare, and construction.
Role Overview
The Solar Technician is responsible for conducting site assessments, installation, commissioning, and maintenance of solar power systems. This position requires technical expertise in electrical and plumbing connections, troubleshooting faults, and providing technical guidance to customers to ensure high-quality delivery and system performance.
Key Responsibilities
Site Assessments: Conducting thorough site evaluations to determine system requirements, optimal positioning, and structural suitability.
Installation & Commissioning: Leading the installation, testing, and commissioning of solar power systems.
Maintenance & Repair: Performing electrical and plumbing connections, troubleshooting technical faults, and carrying out necessary repairs.
Performance Monitoring: Supporting continuous improvement by monitoring system performance and addressing identified issues.
Customer Support: Providing clients with detailed product information and technical guidance.
Sales Support: Assisting in solution selection and generating leads through customer referrals.
Reporting: Preparing and maintaining installation and servicing reports to comply with quality standards.
Qualifications and Experience
Education: Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Renewable Energy from a recognized institution.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years’ experience specifically in solar installations.
Certifications: Relevant certifications, such as a T3 license, are a strong added advantage.
Licensing: Must possess a valid driving or riding license.
