Job Description
The County Government of Kitui is seeking a Skilled Cook to manage meal preparation and catering services.
Requirements for Appointment
To be considered for this position, applicants must meet the following criteria:
Be a Kenyan Citizen.
At least 18 years of age and above.
Be in possession of a National Identification Card.
Minimum of Secondary School certificate (KCSE).
Hold a Certificate in Food Production, Food & Beverage Production/Service/Sales (minimum 1 year duration).
Possess a valid health certificate from a recognized institution.
Demonstrable experience in food and beverage preparation.
Observant of hygiene and safety standards.
Disciplined and able to manage kitchen supplies efficiently.
Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Preparing and serving meals to clients.
Maintaining cleanliness of kitchen and dining areas.
Ensuring safe storage and handling of foodstuffs.
Supporting catering needs during events and conferences.
Keeping daily records of meals served and food stocks.
Performing any other duty assigned by the caterer.
