About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Oracle Database Administrator to join our team in Nairobi. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of database administration experience, with a focus on Oracle and/or SQL Server, and a strong background in high-availability solutions, performance tuning, and cloud environments.
Key Requirements & Experience
5+ years of experience in database administration (Oracle and/or SQL Server)
Strong expertise in HA/DR solutions (Data Guard, Availability Groups)
Experience with performance tuning and troubleshooting tools (AWR, ASH, execution plans)
Hands-on experience with backup and recovery strategies (RMAN, native tools)
Exposure to cloud platforms, preferably Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix environments
BA/BSc/HND qualification in a relevant field
