The Senior Non-General Underwriter role is critical for managing key aspects of non-general insurance products, primarily covering Medical, Travel, and Group Life schemes. The successful candidate will ensure efficient client service delivery while maintaining strict compliance with underwriting guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Medical, Travel & Life Underwriting: Handle additions/deletions, issue quotations, debit/credit notes, medical cards, travel covers, and group life scheme updates in line with underwriting guidelines.
- Client & Insurer Coordination: Liaise with insurers and clients on documentation, reconciliations, policy issuance, and follow-ups to ensure timely service delivery.
- Compliance & Documentation: Review quotations and risk notes, maintain accurate underwriting records, ensure confidentiality, and enforce approved payment processes.
- Operational Support: Support departmental operations during peak periods and perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
Candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in Insurance, Business, or related field.
- 2-3 years' experience in Medical, Travel, Group Life underwriting.
- Strong understanding of insurance products, processes, and compliance.
- High accuracy, integrity, and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office / underwriting systems.
