This role is for a results-oriented Senior Marketing Manager responsible for leading and coordinating marketing efforts to drive brand awareness, customer engagement, and business growth across Kenya. You will develop and coordinate the execution of marketing strategies with the marketing Managers to drive business growth across the region.
Core Responsibilities
Strategic Planning
- Liaise with the different business unit sales experts and the marketing team to devise regional strategies.
- Develop and implement marketing plans with Marketing Managers of the respective verticals (EBD Solar business, Inverter business, Clean Cooking business, Smartphones business & Shop optimization).
Project Management
- Execute global and regional projects as assigned.
- Oversee conference management in Kenya.
- Manage the region’s marketing budget and ensure effective resource allocation.
Mutual Partnership and Facilitation
- Work closely with Marketing Subject Matter experts in driving campaign plans and executions in the region.
- Demonstrate flair for effective stakeholder management in relating with internal stakeholders.
- Build and maintain relationships with key external stakeholders including Sun King partners and industry bodies.
Team Management
- Set goals, targets and KPIs for the respective marketing managers.
- Conduct performance evaluation and provide constructive feedback.
- Develop and implement team training & development programs whilst fostering a positive and an equitable team structure.
- Coach and mentor team members.
Reporting
- Produce a monthly report of marketing activities executed with the ability to demonstrate tangible return on investment (ROI).
- Conduct quarterly reviews of marketing activities executed with focus on marketing performance metrics.
- Prepare an annual report on the business SWOT assessment in the region.
- Provide contender activity reporting.
Candidate Profile and Qualifications

Essential Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelors degree in a business-related field.
- 8+ years of hands-on marketing experience in the FMCG, Telecommunications, solar or agency industry, with at least 2-3 years in a people management role.
- Proven track record of success in developing and executing regional marketing strategies.
- Experience in building & managing strong teams and guiding them to deliver exceptional performance.
- Experience in managing million dollar budgets and external agencies.

- Strong knowledge of marketing fundamentals, including customer segmentation, targeting, and positioning.
- Strong ability to interpret data and insights to inform strategy.
