
Warehouse Receipt System Council (WRSC)
The Warehouse Receipt System Council (WRSC) is a State Corporation operating under the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Cooperatives. It was established by the Warehouse Receipt System Act No. 8 of 2019 to regulate the Warehouse Receipt System (WRS), a process where commodity owners (Farmers or Aggregators) deposit their produce in a certified warehouse and are issued a receipt.
This Senior Legal Officer role is critical for providing comprehensive legal support to the Council, ensuring compliance with all legislative frameworks, and safeguarding the Council's interests in legal matters. This position requires substantial experience and proven ability in legal practice.
