Role Overview: Senior Lecturer – Grade 13 (Nursing - Oncology)

The University of Embu is seeking a highly qualified and experienced individual for the position of Senior Lecturer specializing in Nursing (Oncology). This role requires a strong commitment to teaching, research, and university service, aligning with the standards of a senior academic post (Grade 13).

Qualifications and Experience Requirements

Applicants must be holders of an earned PhD degree in the relevant area of specialty. In addition, applicants must satisfy the following criteria:

• Have at least five (5) years of university teaching experience, three (3) of which must have been served as a full-time Lecturer.
• Possess a minimum of thirty-two (32) publication points, with twenty-four (24) of these points derived from articles published in refereed scholarly journals since being appointed Lecturer.
• Have successfully supervised to completion a minimum of four (4) Masters students since being appointed Lecturer.
• Show evidence of successfully securing at least one (1) research grant since being appointed Lecturer.
• Provide evidence of consistent attendance and significant contribution at learned conferences, seminars, or workshops.
• Demonstrate active participation and leadership in various university activities.
• Show compelling evidence of continued and sustained research activities.
